On order for my new rig...

tell me what you all think! I saw a thread discussing the K7 but only 1 brief post mentioning the K10.

http://www.lancoolpc.com/k7/html/k10.html

I personally like the interior design of the thing, and it has a much more aggressive (but not the in-your-face-blue-LEDS-FTW style case that is becoming all too popular) look than your typical Lian-Li case.

I am a current Lian-Li owner and very happy! So I am sure the K10 will exceed expectations.

Expect a full review when I receive it.

It's structurally identical to the K7, just with a door so everything said in the K7 thread applies here.

What is "strongerness"?

The case should be stronger than a similar all-aluminum case because the frame is made from steel......40% stronger.

It's like the word "Casitude" that I use - a virtual, cobbled up, language with meaning (if any) only in the user's imagination... At least I've defined "casitude". As DA12 said. And they had an opportunity with the door to improve on noise, but they failed to do so - sigh...

Nice case. But I personally don't like SECC cases and don't think they're any stronger than an all-aluminum Lian Li. I'd like more pics of this case and I look forward to your review.

Ordinarily you see uber cheap SECC cases getting touted up in price for being "hybrid" by the manufacturer adding some amount of aluminum parts to the box.

My coolermaster cases I bought for $35 highlighted the fact that they were just your average cheap-ass SECC case because in fact they had aluminum side-doors.

So it is funny (to me anyway) to see a manufacturer try and work it the other way around...this isn't a cheap ass case being hyped up for an extra few dollars over its other SECC peers, no no no, rather this is an already uber aluminum case being hyped up because now they improved it and made it stronger! Wow!

Is the strength of the case a problem/feature these days? Have not heard of too many people crushing their all aluminum cases...can't imagine how much effort it would take to do that actually. I'm pretty abusive with mine and its never had "frame" issues.

I picked this case due to the classy (IMHO) look, my pre-approval of Lian Li products, the placement and size of the fans, the I/O array, and the internal improvements to layout that seem to have been made over some of the typical lian li mid tower boxes.

I don't like the look of the K7 much, nor do I like the I/O panel.

Anyhow, it will be here soon enough. Can't wait!

The comment about improved strength was facetiousness, and I couldn't care less about whether or not structural improvements have been made

I understand. I buy all my cases based on (1) looks, and (2) my pre-conception of its airflow.

Based on #2 above I would not buy this case as I see it does not have side-door or top air-vents for fans. Is this true? I am surprised to see a case without a side-door vent for a sidefan.

I'm digging dual-120mm fans in front of the HD cage though, that I like!

I would prefer a top fan as well, but I don't have a problem hacking up my case to add one if stock cooling is insufficient, which I doubt

Side fans are not necessary, as the most important parameter is the ambient temp in the case, not whether or not you have a fan blowing on this or that component.
