<< The Evo7/WRX are the same car
Blah, the EVO is a much nicer car than the WRX, even the STI version. The 276 HP is the published amounts, some studies show the EVO's HP at the wheels is in excess of 300, While the WRX is around the 280 mark. Another testemant to the "theoretical" HP marks in Japan is the Skyline. This thing is also marked at 276hp, but has tested at OVER 350.
The STI and the EVO, if they come stateside (there are NO CONFIRMED REPORTS, only rumor and hearsay at this point) will be toned down a bit from their Japanese brethren do to our Ommisions standards. The WRX in the states now has 3, yes thats THREE, catalytic converters on it. Tell me that doesnt restrict airflow... >>
They are not the freakin' same car if they don't look alike, drive alike, have a similar engine or anything...HOW are they the same car??
Yes, the EVO is electronically limited because of Japan's 280hp production limit. This is why the Nissan Skyline R34 comes as 280hp when you buy it but you can get it up to 400 with the flick of a switch.
