CHAMBORD, France - Defending six time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong was disqualified from the 2005 race following and investigation in which Armstrong was accused of using a illegal performance enhancing substance. Armstrong who in the past has been accused for using steroids by other racers and recently by his own mechanic, denied the allegations.
The disqualification was announced at a early afternoon press conference. When pressed about the specifics of the investigation, tour director Jean-Marie Leblanc broke the news that the illegal performance enhancing substance was not a steroid but merely soap. A substance the French highly look down upon.
Armstrong was still allowed to participate in today's 6th leg of the race pending an appeal.
Sorry guys, I heard this last year and laughed my ass off, so I figured I'd share it with you this year.
