this is more like it. tennis ball head checks it out wishing i would take it out so he can sit in the box.

well ok then.

same on this side! amazing!!

left side front door open. you can see the pieces used for the new mounting system, which are thick rubber cables with some plastic attached to screw the drives to. in no way is this a toolless case. you can see on top here that opticals have to be screwed in the old school way. also, no hardware was included unless its in the "built in tool box" on the bottom front, which i havent figured out how to open yet.

side panel off. you can see the removable psu bracket, you can move mb down and put psu on top. also if you look on top of the manual you will see that the side panel uses 2 (!!) different sizes of thumbscrews to attach the panel. the fans only have molex connectors (no rpm monitoring) and have a 2 speed switch on a wire that just kind of hangs out in space. this shouldnt be a problem because i plan on swapping the fans out (most guys will) anyway. the mb plate has a nice big hole for swapping out cooling, but no cut-outs for wiring. looks a tad narrow for long vid cards, but without my ruler, i cant be sure.

this is what is technically known as the "back" of the case. has 8 pci slots. the bottom one sports a cover with a cutout in it for a pass thru arrangement for the front panel usb3. i dont know what the oval cutout above the back fan is for. yet. this entire back panel can be lowered to the bottom for top psu, or flipped over for that reverse motherboard stuff.

top panel. nice sturdy handles, and mounting points for 2x120 rad or 120mm fans.

almost forgot. heres the front panel, all seven modules you see there can be rearranged to your little hearts desire. no rocket surgery here, strictly phillips screws.

so thats about it for now. will show some detail pics later, and pics of a new build. also some more insight as i use it. overall a very nice case. i think everything should have been thumb screws tho, and all 1 size. everything except the side panels is held together with phillips head screws, many, many phillips head screws. these also can be swapped out for 3rd party thumbscrews, if you are inclined. the fans could have been thought out a little better also. the whole shooting match can be stripped down to the blue steel frame. most black pieces are steel, with some plastic on top. feels very sturdy, including the handles.

Thanks for sharing... it's rather an odd looking case, but I like the ideas behind it. Looking forward to more pics, also cute cat. :)

Curious to what the weight will be once built. Say with 3 hdds, and one optical. My 1200 will break your back moving it.

Ouch! With the long hair on the cat, and no filters on the box, I would expect lots of...ahem...er...hairballs?

The blue looks reeeally nice on that case. BTW, is your cat's name really tennisball head? And here I thought MY cat had a crazy name.. lol! :D

i am trying to get a good pic of it , but failed so far. its a really nice blue. i am also trying to find reasonably priced fans with black frames and blue blades to swap out the default fans.

when he was a kitten he had a huge round off-white head. tennisballs used to all be very light grey, and fuzzier than they are now. also, the contents of a tennisball and his head are exactly the same. hence, tennisball head.

Ah, those fans will look very nice in that case! I'm with the others: post another pic when you get it all set up. ;)

haha.. well, I love your cat's name and he is a beautiful cat. I think it's funny how whenever you bring something new into the house, a cat will immediately "take over" as if he thinks it belongs to him. That's the way my cat is, anyhow.. lol!

Mhmm... I miss legos and this looks perfect as I have a case (pun fully and shamefully intended) of the 'need a random not so useful thing to geek on'.

Awesome cat too. I believe it was first a cat who coined the phrase 'All your cardboard boxes are belong to us'. Mine would leave us no chance to claim them our own... :(

that case looks like a hot mess when not in antec adverts. i'm still curious to see a build in it tho, i love the modular idea behind it.

i didn't think about the usb 3 port needing to be routed like that. that thing has a lot of wires in it, without a psu.

they specifically mentioned long video cards in their advertising. one would think they would have measured.

i am just guessing that is what it is, but i am pretty sure. its a sample so i didnt get much documentation and/or hardware with it. but i am pretty sure it is the final version of the case that will be sold retail.

i would think the higher slot would be used for that, it's right next to where the ports would be. the oval opening. plus, you wouldn't have to route the cable to the bottom of the case. the one on the bottom looks like a place to put an extra port of some sort. anything else in the packaging that would fit there? did you figure out how to open the tool box?

Well all I can say is the blue looks alot better than the yellow. The case looks like it has potential....I'm thinking all black would look alot better tho.

There are plenty of video reviews of this case on youtube now so you can get a pretty good visual review of what it can do. 3DGameman gave it a 100% KickAss rating for example in his review. The case will hold up to 15" long video cards they say if you take out the bottom drive bay and up to 12" long video cards if you don't. What I'm really curious about is if you were to install all 15 fans and, use it like Antec says to, how loud it would really be? So far I havent seen anyone put extra fans into it yet. It is a very unique case I'll say that much for it. Highly modular in design. Definitely different.

Btw, whats the advantage of turning a drive so it faces the panel side instead of the front of the case? Is there a cooling benefit to this? I've been wondering about this.
