LanBoy Air Top Exhaust

I just got myself a LanBoy Air and have fans all over the place. It comes with two fans in the front sucking air in, and I added a third one. For some reason they installed the rear exhaust fan backward so it was blowing air into the case, so I reverse it so it was sucking air out of the case. It also came with side fan that is sucking air in. My CPU cooler is a Scythe Katana II and is blowing air through it's heatsink towards the top of the case (although the cooler is naturally at an angle so it does't blow directly towards the top).

It doesn't come with a top fan but I canabalized several of the fans from my Antec 900 and fashioned some sort of fan rig that sits on top of the case to help suck air out the top (hopefully). I haven't actually noticed much temp difference from using it.

I think it's because the fans are trying to suck air through the grills underneath which must be hindering airflow. I also put the antec 900 brackets on top of the fans to stop be from dropping large items onto the fans. Anyone know of any good mods for this case for better top exhaust? I also have a huge 240mm fan from my antec 900 that I can't figure out how to insert into this case but I think that might be overdoing it =)

Now that I think about it... I think the rear fan is supposed to be intake as is the top fan. I think all the fans are supposed to be intake

No...that is not how it works. 2 intake fans, 1 rear exhaust fan, then the top are exhaust fans.

You want POSITIVE pressure in the case. If everything is intake, you will fill it with dust really quick and the temps will rise because no hot air is escaping, aka you are just blowing around hot air.

Actually, it is designed to have all fans set as intake. Antec says that this will keep dust from settling, blowing it out along with any hot air.

Antec LanBoy Air Manual said:
The LanBoy Air’s cooling system allows up to 15 inward-facing fans to create positive internal air pressure, blowing dust and heat out through its panel perforations.

...

Note: We recommend using Antec 120mm TriCool™ or TwoCool™ fans and setting the speed to Low. All fans bring cool air into the chassis, which creates positive air pressure, pushing heat and dust out of the chassis.

So what i get from this thread is the only way to mount the top fans as exhaust fans is to mod them somehow :/ i wish Antec had specific fans for this since its their case. And the details of 15 fans should say up to 15 fans due to things being in the way.

i'm willing to bet there is no measurable increase in pressure inside the case with all fans blowing in.

Well I can understand the intake fans on the side and what not. I think there should be one exhaust on top since PSU is on the bottom. But no real way to fasten a top fan without modding it and having the fans exposed.
