Why is the Chicago area called the "Chicagoland" area, anyway? No other metropolitan areas add "land" to the end of thier names.
 
but i like to game, i like to eat pizza too... so i got to thinking that the combination of both would be spectacular. : p
 
It's called Chicagoland because it's so big, and it's completely separate from the rest of the state. Really Chicagoland should be a state with a capital of Chicago.
