Not that I can attend, but will the LAN be held in your HT room with the 129 subs? 😀 Someday, I'd love to just sit in that room and let you disembowel me with 20Hz waves @130db.

if only i didn't move from woodstock 8 years ago.. .lol.

i have a question about lan parties though. is it necessary to have some source of internet connection, or do you transmit data directly from one computer to the next and so on?

i mean, do you all have to plug into a router, which is plugged into a modem, or do you plug something directly into another guys pc from yours?

LAN states Local area network, but what fun would it be without the internet?

So everyone will be plugged into a switch, that is plugged into the router, that will get you to the net at 4Mbps.

So we will be conncted together via switches

Doh, not only am I home somewhere south of Atlanta for the Holidays, I'm not old enough to go!

I'd be playing WoW, which is sorta weird at a LAN. By the time you cut down the total players to just the WoW players, then just the ones in my server, then just the ones in my faction, then just the ones around a similar level so that we could party and quest... you've got nobody. Which sorta defeats the purpose. Maybe I'd play HL2 or UT2004 or something.

Its an option Im sure Unreal 2004 will be played as well.

hehe, at the last lan there were a bunch of people playing CoH, everyone else just played other games. no harm no foul.
