LAN Party Laptop Help

I'm in the market to buy a new laptop for around $1,200. I want to mainly use it as my LAN party box, so I need a good graphics card. Weight is a big issue also because I have to carry it around to my classes. I was thinking about in the lines of less than 8lbs. I was hoping I could get the ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 or a GeForce 4 Go, so I would be still able to play future games. What would your pick be?

I work for Dell , ( technical support ) , and i have a dell latitude c840 ( inspiron 8200 is the same ) , it has a p4 and a geforce 4 go , and it runs like a rocket , but i dont think your going to get anything with that spec for that kind of money
