o Quite possibly the largest single gaming event in the entire Midwest! January 17th will show that the Midwest is full of gamers ready to have a great time fragging each other.


? When is Coldwarz?

o January 17-18th or more specifically Saturday at 10:00AM to Sunday 8:00PM

? What games will be played?

o Everything you can possibly imagine. We will have Linux dedicated servers as well as some offering patches for common games as well.

? Why are we having Coldwarz

o To simply have a great time! We've rented out the Alerus Center to bring the ultimate gaming experience to the Midwest!

? What should I bring?

o Everything and we mean EVERYTHING. That means, your computer (the box itself), the monitor, keyboard, Mouse, Power Cord, Power Strip and headphones. With the amount of power we may be draining we will wont want to have problems with this. Extra items such as Routers, Switches and Computers that could be used as servers will be much appreciated.

Please bring your anti-virus software with you and scan before coming to the lan!
We may not allow you to connect to the network if we feel your computer is at risk. We my also remove you from the tournaments if any game hacks are present.

I did a stint in the Military between 1982 - 1986 @ Grand Forks AFB. Actually, my wife is from New Jersey, but I met her through friends - and we got married a few years later as I was getting out of the military. Damn, that place was cold. Brrr ... - and because I frequently worked at the missile sites way up highway 32, I was very near Canada.

I guess the Alerus center is new. I remember a few concerts @ UND such as Sammy Hagar, Molly Hatchet and Heart. Those were some good *rocking* concerts.

I remember taking many trips to East G.F. At the time, I was only 19, so needless to say, if we wanted to partake in alcoholic beverages - we had to do it in E.G.F. Shenanigans used to be a rocking place - lots of good bands from what I remember. There was also a place in E.G.F. that had 3-for-1 nights. Man, getting 3 Tequila Sunrise drinks for $2.00 was tough on myself and my friends. A table could be filled with drinks for $20 or so.

After living in Grand Forks while stationed at GFAFB from 1992-1997 I swore on my grave that I would never return to that god forsaken state...

The only thing to do there is make babies, we made two 🙂
