hook up to my friends LAN and i can only donwload off the internet at 6.0 kps. Its wireless 256kps and my friends download at 29 to 30 kps. Epox 8rda+ is my boardwith onboard nic card i have all the updated bios and drivers. I have forced 100 full duplex and its optimized for thouroput in advanced settings for NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter configure. I'm using TCIP/IP in WINS i have LMHOSTS enabled and also enable NET bios over TCIP/IP. Under options i have no TCIP/IP filtering. In DNS is have Apend primary and connection specific DNS suffixes checked and Apend parent suffixes of the primary DNS checked also checked is register this connections addresses in DNS. My driver date for MCP networking adapter is 9/23/2002 driver version 2.8.1.0 any help would be great. I also am using Dr. Salmans window power tools and its set for optimized lan settings the max transfer unit is set to 1500 recieve window is set to 5840/ Time to live archieve is 64/ PMTU is 1500 auto find PMTU is on NDI cache is on 16 and read ahead auto scrolling is enabled. If it matters i have Windows 2k with service pack 3
