my new home server is giving me a headache...
all 3 machines are running xp pro w/ sp2. now i have the shares on the "server" machine as a couple folders and the printer. problem is, my machine which would be a client keeps getting disconnected.
a reboot fixes the issue. is there a limited amount of time a machine can be connected to another? i can still get into the server machine via ftp and the http works on it, it is just that my machine can't connect to the printer or shares. same workgroup and my username/pass is a admin on the other computer.
i never had this problem w/ win2kpro or server...
please assist as this is extremely annoying.
and yes, all cables are ok and the 3 machines are all on the same 1GbE switch, and this just started when i put xp pro as the home server...
