doh... i forgot how to do it in 9x......

do you have any lights(led's) on the back of your nic? see what they tell you.
 
well use a mirror heh .. jk, go into ur network neighborhood, and right click the lan connection and hit status (i believe this is the 9x way) .. it will indicate 10 or 100 .. hope this helps ..
