LAN Cable Status error

While going thru the BIOS, I came upon the option to enable LAN cable status and POST check LAN cable to which I did (although now, I wish I knew what they do exactly.)

Anyhow, prior to enabling this option I just finished a new install of winXP on my new system and everything worked great.

After enabling both of these options, my PC won't even get past the POST so I can disable this option in the BIOS. Sometimes the screen hangs after showing the HDD, USB status and other times all I get is a black screen.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

My unit:
A8N32-SLI mobo
2.5 gigs of ram
WinXP on Raptors in Raid 0 using RocketRaid 2310 PCI-E controller
3x 400Gb Barracudas setup in Raid 5
2x 7900GTO in sli

now I get nothing on boot. Did I fry my board or BIOS or something? Everything worked good till I changed the LAN Cable status option in my BIOS settings...

Grrr...
