lan bandwidth question

how do i set a limit on the bandwidth of a local computer on my lan?

What operating system and do you have a router? If so what kind? Please, a bit more info.

i'm on win98se, no router, just using win98se's ics on dialup networking

I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything that would work for you without having to spend some money. Maybe somebody can post a free program that would do it. I know windows 2000 server will let you do this (again, lots of money) and possibly a router (not so expensive as the first option). Basically you are getting into the area that businesses buy products in and not much is free around there, except Linux .
