I order Inkjet CD Protector spray off the net, but it's too expensive, I pay almost 16 bucks for a 5 ounce can with shipping. Anyone know of a B&M store with spray laminate? I got some liquid kind from the local hardware store, but it's a pain to apply.

I use Krylon clear (matte finish seems to give better results)....I picked it up at a craft store.

Thanks I'll check it out, assumed glossy would be better, I like my CD's to have that bling bling look :) I'll pick up a can of each and see which works better for me.

question, how do you go about spraying? I put a peice of cloth under it and spray 2 layers. Maybe it's just the brand I use, but ther results kinda blow for me.

Why not use a jewel case with the top piece removed? the center spindle "fingers" might hold it more stable than loose on a cloth.

I lay the cd or dvd on a piece of newpaper, put a nickel over the hole, and spray it. The only problems I've had were from not having a flat enough surface. They spray would work its way under the edge of the disc.

The glossy stuff seems to leave imperfections....a little bubble or mark here or there...maybe it's thicker going on or something...

krylon makes several other clear coat type sprays, perhaps another type would go on more reliably.

The matte coat works well, and makes the inkjet printed disc smudge/water resistant.
