people just buy them from fry's and sell them on ebay. don't take your fry's for granted because some people don't have them, let alone have ever heard of them.

not only that, but starting bid is $150, buy it now is like $153. Hmm... I think i'll bid $150 and wait a couple days and hope no one outbids me to save $3.

even hotter: CA residents pay %8.25 sales tax! Yay!

sure, but if you resell for 50% more, the deal changes from "hot" to "bad"
But then again, ebay is full of bad deals

Wrong - if you bid 150, people need to go for 151 to outbid you, so they will only save 2 bucks over buy-it-now price. This is just bait for stupid people.

Some of these "entrepreneurs" are doing it all the time.... maybe that's why Fry's is always running out of stock on these deals. Screw them.

Fry's just had this going for $120. Now look at the lamer trying to sell it for more online.

I think you're the one that's lame. The closest Fry's to me is like a day's driving, so unless you're willing to drive to Fry's for millions of people and ship this stuff to them, you should keep quiet. Oh btw, millions of people try to profit from eBay, why is this guy different? I think you're the "n00b"

some people have it in their mind that buying on ebay is a good deal by defintion, and they end up overpaying - that is, they pay more than what it costs at brand name stores, and that's to buy from some small time trader with no guarantees or service (returns/refunds/exchanges are a nightmare). Having said that, there are some good deals on ebay, but they're not easy to come by (luck is also involved here).

I would like to update you that the item was sold to ebay user jay92974 for $152.99 !!!
A couple of interesting things to note - first, the lucky winner is a first time ebay user, at least he has no feedback. Second, the winner got it using buy-it-now just before the end of the auction....could have possibly saved $3 if he just bid.

A little fishy, don't you think ? I wonder if we'll see the same combo listed again by this seller ? This can only happen if this sale was fake, or that the trader has more than 1 of this same combo in stock, which again is wrong, because fry's clearly states "Limit 1 per customer" on these deals.

So final price including the $20 shipping is $173, which is just about what it would cost to buy this elsewhere. So why the hell buy it on ebay ? I guess this has already been answered. If you look at the seller recent feedback you'll find a few more fry's combo deals which sold for $50 more than fry's. Down with lamerZZZ snapping up fry's combo specials.

Here's another auction by the same seller of another fry's combo. Let's make an experiment and see how this one ends - could it be that it would also be snapped up at the last moment by a newly minted ebay user ?

BTW, this one is a slight variation - the starting price is 89.99 but buy-it-now is 90.99 ! I wonder if there's any advantage to the seller to do it this way compared to straight buy-it-now listing ? Any ebay gurus can shed light on this ?

And the good news is that shipping is only $18 for this combo. Yippie !!!!
For reference, this was sold by Fry's as a special for $59 a couple of weeks ago.
