My friend has an HP Vectra 400mhz, and he wants to know what kind of ram is in it.

I am too sleepy to look it up..

anyone know what type of ram goes in it?

TIA>

I have an intel computer, what kind of ram does it take. I have a ton of these old simms laying around, would it boost my gaming performance?!?!

It's probably a 400 MHz Pentium II. This means it probably uses a 440BX chipset, which means PC100 SDRAM.

You'll need a DIMM of some sort (168 pins?)

yeah my non techie friend does not know what model it is. i am too tired to talk him thru it.

all he can say is it's a hp vectra xl 400mhz.

my guess was sdram too

Try Crucial.com Just select the maker, model, and a few other specs and it'll figure it out for you. 🙂
