i'm not sympathetic at all. he didn't die young either. copyright goes on for way way too long. at this point it really should be public domain.

Next time read the article. This deal was reached in 1969, and has been passed on from one studio to the next with each merger/buyout. It has nothing to do with copyright laws or even his children. He reached the deal before he died.
