nope. I ship hundreds of packages a week, the only time they've covered it for me is if it has a sig required and they still leave it at the front door

Sorry, maybe I'm being dense here. You ship a lot of packages or you receive a lot of packages? My impression was that the recipient (the OP in this case) was pretty much always covered, and that either the person shipping or the shipping agency was responsible if the package "didn't show up".

I called up UPS earlier - The woman said that the department that tracks these packages was closed for the night
I guess I'll call tomorrow

I am positive that the UPS driver didn't come to my house - especially since I have a neighbor who is working on my house from 12:00-4:00 PM each day
for remodeling. I'll ask him tomorrow if a UPS truck came
