I like the F430, but I think the 360 still looks better. So in a LP640vsF430 I'd take the LP, but any year/model I'd take a miura or a the FXX.

I love all these cars. :)

Wouldn't you have to compare a stock Murcielago to a F430?

Or, if you wanted to compare the LP460, then you'd have to compare it to the F430 Challenge Stradale (a.k.a.: F430 CS).

Also, isn't it LP640? Or is it LP460?

The best Ferraris are the 355, Testarossa, 512 TR (pretty much the same thing as the Testarossa) 550 Maranello. Apart from those, and anything newer than those, th Lamborghinis are better.

I don't think you can really pick between the two. The ferrari is a performance machine, where as the lambo is kind of show&go vehicle. If I wanted somethign to take the the track, it would be the ferrari. If i want to roll up to a restaurant/club, lambo roadster is the way to go.

I know it's not the most powerful of the bunch, but I really like the Gallardo. I'll take one in lime green or the blacked-out Nera, please. :)

The Ford GT edges out the Vantage. The GT is one hell of a beast, but the Vantage has a style and stance that is lost on cars in that range. I've heard both Lamborghinis and Ferraris in person, and I really don't like the sound of the Ferraris. Combined with the fact that the Lambo owners are more likely to go out and RACE thier cars than Ferrari owners who just sit around talking about thier cars having racing heritage.

I saw a 360 Modena at his local track on street legal night, stayed parked all night long. Car and Driver posted an open request for a Ferrari owner to enter thier One Lap of America one year, they have yet to have a Ferrari enter in any of the years that it has been going on. Virtually every other make sold in the US has been entered. (including Lamborghini) Ferrari owners will talk speed, but when a clock comes out, they don't.

Ferrari has a far more impressive heritage, and their cars are build for driving and not for posing. Ferrari wins for me, and it's not close.

I don't think an F430 v. LP460 comparo makes sense, since they really aren't comparable - it should be F430 v. Gallardo and 599 v. Murcielago.

Are we talking recent cars? Then definitely Lamborghini. As far as styling goes, Ferrari has fallen off its rocker. The F360, F430, and Enzo are straight FUGLY. Ferrari's of the 80's and through the mid-90's were gorgeous.

This is absurd. Lambo certainly doesn't sponsor anything comparable to the Ferrari Challenge series, and no manufacturer (save perhaps Porsche) has anywhere near the history of successful private owner/racers that Ferrari has.

To each his own, but I think the 360 is one of the most beautiful modern cars, and certainly worlds prettier than the TR, 348, or 355, and comparable to the 308/328/288 GTO. I agree the F430 and Enzo are not lovely cars, but the 360 was stunning to look at, and by all accounts the F430 blows it out of the water from a driving perspective.

I actually think the 355 was the pinnacle of Ferrari styling. It was uphill until then, and downhill since. When I see an F355, I don't see anything that should be changed. Every bit of it says Ferrari. Unlike the 360...

I do like the rear of the 360 - it's a nice classic look. But the front is ugly, and the 430 looks alot like the 360. IMO, the 355 was the last really great-looking car that Ferrari made.

I'm sure that a Ferrari is a better driving experience than a Lamborghini, just based on the histories of the two makes. But I want the one that looks better - I'd never drive either of them to their potential, and they're both worlds better than the cheap Chrysler that I drive.

First of all it is the LP640. Second of all, you should be comparing it to the 599 or an Enzo

Yes it is 640 HP, and no the enzo costs like one mil now, and the 599 is not the comparable car.
