Because it's the desire for more which drives hard work and innovation. Without this, people become sheeple, blindly going about their mundane lives, mistakenly thinking they're stuck in their dead end jobs, content to whine incessantly about how management is making all of the(ir) money. Without the dreamers and risk takers, we would absolutely suck.
