just feel like bragging... 1.3 years and i finally get a good result. :beer:

research is on spoken language processing btw

you guys have no clue how relieved i am... i'm so relieved that i don't even feel relieved. this thing has been nothing but disappointment for 1.3 years... but finally FINALLY there is a god and he blessed me with positive results. it's one thing to be making steady progress for 1.3 years but it's another to have nothing absolutely nothing work for 1.3 years. thank god.

edit: i know phd students do research for way more than 1.3 years, but i'm just a lowly undergrad and i went into this research project expecting just one summer (that's what was advertised), so bite me
 
Awesome! Congratulations! I ended up doing research for a year in the math department and never came up with anything solid. It was a good experience, though, so I suppose it was worth it.
 
I'm having a bit of problems with my research--I still can't find dark matter 🙁 Know where I can find some? 😀
