Maybe, but I think the first 12 wins occurred before Yao got hurt.

right, it was 12 in a row with yao, now 9 in a row without. they play a different game without him. better...worse...hard to say in only 9 games.

the western conference playoff race should be fun to watch...the 8th place team is within 4.5 games of first place...

Awesome win for the Rockets, now people can shut up about them beating weaklings only.

I give the rockets props but with Gasol being out, that really hurt the lakers playing against a red-hot team.

They have Boston up next. I'm a fan of neither, but should be a great game to watch.

i'm sure losing yao for the rockets is a bigger factor than losing gasol.

Hell yes. They are on fire. The hottest team in the nba. This year is much more exciting than last year.

As a Warriors fan I'm much more inclined to have us play the Rockets than the Lakers/Jazz..Keep it up Houston!

I feel sorry for the Rocket fans, I know they are all riding high on this amazing win streak but their team is not constructed in a way right now to win in the playoffs. Too much reliance on 3pt shots and absolutely NO interior scoring. When Mutomob goes out they have no good post defenders.

It's ironic that Dirk, West, Gasol/Bynum have all been injured during this Rocket streak. All of these players would have given the Rockets a ton of trouble.

lakers with gasol and bynum would SHIT on the rockets with yao, and they will shit on them even more without yao, which would be the playoff scenario if the teams met

i'm both a rockets and lakers fan, a bit more of the rockets but i have to agree that the team right now as it's constructed will have a difficult time in the playoffs. there's too much guard and perimeter play, and your outside shots will fail you some nights. without the big guy in the middle, it's hard to win without that go to shot.

but then they've been proving me wrong for 22 straight games so what am i to do. :D

True, not like we have a choice without yao down there, closest we have to an interior scoring presence is scola/landry. We have to rely on our defense moreso now with yao out so that if our shots don't fall, theirs don't either.

lol, calm down their junior. the fact that you have to use such forceful language is pretty laughable.
