Lakers vs Celtics or Kings vs Nets

Kings vs Nets.

I think if the Lakers win, then neither the Nets nor the Celtics could beat them. That's why I want the Kings to win the west cause I think the Nets would have a better chance.

Agree. I wouldn't be upset if Boston gets in, but I wouldn't watch an LA series (ok, I would but i'd be PISSED!!) :)

i know NBC would like to see LA vs Boston

but i would rather see Sac vs NJ
the two top seeded teams and top teams during the regular season

Lakers - Celtics

Maybe that is because I was a die hard Laker fan beginning in the early 80's and I'm nostalgic for the old rivarly. Plus, many of my friends are Celtics fans and Lakers fans, so you know the parties each game would be out of control.

If the Lakers would win the Western Finals I probably would pay little attention to the finals as it would be anti Climatic. It would be the same old Kobe/Shaq show. But if it were the Kings vs either of the Eastern teams it would be more compelling to watch (at least for me) as the winner wouldn't be such a forgone conclusion. While Laker fans say the Money Matchup would be the Lakers vs the Celts, I disagree for the above mentioned reason. In addition, I think many who would ignore the finals if it were the Kobe Shag show would tune in if it were the Kings instead just to witness the emergence of a team that did what many thought was impossible just a few weeks ago, beating the so called dominate team of this generation.

Personally I think the Mystique of the Lakers only appeals to Laker Fans (be they Band Wagoners or the diehards) and maybe some of the younger generation who always have been prone to manipulation by the Powers that be, namely the Marketing Divisions of the NBA, Nike , Gatorade and their ilk.
