Still the best player in the NBA, even with all the little cheap shots people are taking at him...

19/26 for 52 points... You can't have a much better shooting night than that.

26/26

Theoretically possible, but I don't remember anyone, let alone a perimeter player, doing that .

how can anyone still bad mouth kobe, i mean the team is playing great. it's not like his ball hogging is causing the team to lose. I think the Lakers are true contenders this year, right up there with Phoenix, SAS, Dallas, Utah (dont know how long they can keep winning, they got blown out tonight)

Bill Walton hit 21/22 in college, I don't think anyone has gone perfect.

Oh and I have one more stat for the OP,

Rings without Shaq - 0

The only thing rivaling Kobe Bryant's immense talent on the court is his even more immense propensity to be a smug, arrogant asshole off the court. Great player, not-so-great person.

It's not just the rape allegation, which I honestly believe was a consensual encounter gone awry due to his size 13 feet ;) It's the way he handled it after, it's the way he tried to "tell" on other players like Shaq to somehow shield himself, it's the generally diva-like manner in which he carries himself which is attested to by many who have had to endure him personally and professionally.

Besides, there's never a good reason to cheat on this. Period.
