This the fact. Lakers are the most hi profile team iin the league. This year the are probably just hanging in there. No star palyers apart from Kobe. No hifi performances but still they just manage to be the most talked about team. Its hollywood man. We just can't help it.
Anyway now that Rudy T quit and they wan't Phil badly, they came up with a very impressive performance yesterday. Doing it without Kobe was even better. What do you think?
Is Phil gonna be back and will they do anything apart from just making the playoffs.

they lost yesterday... how is that impressive?

Compare the Lakers with the only other Dynasty of the 21st century... the Patriots.

Say next year the Pats lose in the Superbowl. If Jerry Buss/Mitch Kupcheck were running things they'd:
1. Dump Belichick (most winning playoff coach in history)
2. Trade Brady (not sexy enough, plus Adam Vinatieri is sick of being the "little brother")
3. Trade Corey Dillon (a vet who only came for the ring anyways)

then announce that the following year would be the "year of the fan"!

They're done. Next.

I don't know... I feel like there's more attention to the timberwolves sucking it up or the knicks endless pursuit for a coach. Or the nets and vince carter. Sure, the lakers have been in the news, but no more so than is necessary to cover what's happening with them.

when he signed up, they were good team. by the time the season started, they weren't. He fell for the Jerry Buss "Bait and switch." Since this team isn't winning squat for the next 5 years, he figured he should just cut his losses now to save his hall of fame credentials.
