Update: Shaq is out due to injury. Injured his finger on the rim. His wrist was cut at home.

The score is very close.. and still one more quarter to go.

<< Fisher just got schooled by Parker >>

Yea, but then many get schooled by Kobe.

Go Lakers!!

Horry will come through in the end.

Even if the Lakers do win this game, I'm a bit worried about Kobe. Hopefully nothing serious with the knee.

<< OK, Kobe back, but he is still not right. Limping quite a lot. >>

What do you mean he's not right? It's late in the game, he gets the ball and doesn't even LOOK at anybody else. Sound like par for the course to me. ;) J/K. I know he's gotten a lot better about that, but he STILL has ballhogging tendencies. Granted, there's hardly any other player in the league who I'd rather have with the ball with a few seconds to go.

Great play by Horry.

Gotta love NBC Sports. We don't actually care about sports until it's a special event like the Olympics, playoffs or some once a year event. We'll let some other network carry the regular season and provide better coverage where the announcers and analysts get to know the players and teams over the course of the entire year. Then we'll come swooping in at the end, totally change the things you were used to, and get all the ratings to falsely boost our advertising rates. NBC needs to either get totally out of sports or stop doing it half-a$$ed.

I realize they actually carry some of the NBA regular season games, but NBC just gets in my crawl when it comes to sports.

Sweet, nice win. If the Spurs had a chance to win a game in LA, that was it, and they didn't do it.

haha not saying its fixed or something, but dang its odd how the game ended JUST IN TIME for the huge NBC's 75th anniversary celebration special. What if the game had gone into overtime?

The teams make their own tv deals with local stations - NBC "graciously" offers to give national coverage to a few games nearing the end of the season to give them some exposure. If you want to b1tch about it, go b1tch at your team's PR office

I think he's talking about nationally televised regular season games.

What's up with Bruce Lee Bowen? Didn't this guy get a flagrant foul and fine earlier in the year for putting a flying kick to Wally Szczerbiak's face, after he flew at him on defense? Now the guy kicks Kobe in the knee.
