Reboot into safe mode and run the driver cleaner.

Then reboot into normal mode and install the drivers.

no wireless mouse or no AV software, i installed the latest, havent tried the safe mode idea yet i guess ill do that next. i have hardware acceleration to full already.

i wanted to revert back to cat 6.4 cause its when i updated from them that i first got the problem but when i did that i got these weird blue dots scattered along my monitor, on my old CRT and on my new LCD.i guess i could try again though. ill wait for a reply to this before i do that.

alright my wonderful friend Doug at ati tech support got the scrolling issue fixed, but i still have the ugly blue dots whenever i try to run a program that uses directx, so he recommended i reinstall it. he cannot help me do that of course though, so now im asking you guys, i installed 9.0c with an old dxwebstup deal, can i dl a diff package and simply install over it? or should i uninstall directx and then reinstall it and if so how do i uninstall directx?
