The 2 main styles of beer are ales and lagers.

ATOT beer enthusiasts, what say you...what do you prefer?

Ale rarely since it`s so heavy and I don't like getting full on beer. Usually Lager for me.

Neither. Stouts are where it's at.

(yes I know, it's in the ale family)

Ale by far. So much potential. But I agree--porter and stout above Ale.

Though, isn't porter a variation of Ale?

maybe I'm wrong...

They're all in the ale family, and I agree; stout is king. I prefer all ales though. I wouldn't mind a Bass right now as a matter of fact. I haven't had one in years :^/

Any bottom fermented beer is lager and typically fermented cold, and top fermented is an ale and fermented at more of a "room temp."

Ale definitely, but room temperature, not cold... Ruins it.

only certain ales, neckbeard. Very few Ales should be served at Room Temperature. and generally, it's slightly colder than RT.

For me, I like Stouts and most porters about 5 degrees below RT. Really brings out the flavor.

Pale and IPA...not so much. Cask Ales should be colder than porter/stout

This is actually a question? Ale. Virtually every variety of beer is technically an ale, so unless all you drink is lagers and pilsners, ale is top dog.
