Lag with Microsoft Cordless Mice?

I'm looking at a wireless combo set to replace my MX700/Logitech Elite setup. I like the MS sets, but when I last tried a MS wireless mouse (Intellimouse Explorer I think), there was very noticable lag, especially in games.

Has this improved at all? What have you used, or are using now?

TIA for the input!

I'd love to know this as well. I've used Logitech exclusively the past 5 years or so, but I really like the feel of the newer Intellimouse Explorer mice with the tilt-wheel that can be used left and right.

The new ones don't have lag; i used one for UT2k4 for many months.

However, IMO, corded is still more precise, so that's what i use now.

I have a Logitech MX510 and my friend has a MX700. I can't really see or feel a difference in performance between the two at the medium sensitivity that I like to use. There's no noticable difference even though mine has a better sensor and is corded.

I have been using the MX510 and I love it. I would recommend using a wired mouse to prevent bad batteries from costing you any frags.
