hey guys,
I search for shut off computer and couldn't find what I was looking for.
I got a new motherboard and cpu, I installed them and used the same hdd and OS.
everytime I have upgraded previously if I changed major hardware I would have to reinstall windows. But for some reason windows just booted and started running. Me being lazy, I havn't reinstalled the OS. so everything runs ok but I have a big time lag when I click the shut off computer button. up to 1 minute wait times.
what should I do to clear out the old hardware settings/info, and is that the problem causing this lag ?
I edited the registry to turn the autoshutdown and shut down times to faster times....
what is causing this lag ?
thanks
