So, recently I've upgraded to Vista 64-bit in order to make full use of my 4GB of RAM.
The problem now is that whenever I'm running a game in Vista I get low FPS. I'm also running Skype, Hamachi, AIM, and XFire at the same time but that shouldn't be any problem for it.
I used to be able to run Left 4 Dead in XP with no problem at all, I would get roughly 100FPS maxed out. However, now whenever I run it it fluctuates between 25-50FPS and is very inconsistent even when there are only maybe one or two enemies on the screen. Also, I've tried CS:S and Quake 3 it's all the same issue. I have the latest BIOS for my motherboard, the latest video drivers and everything. What could be causing this. Is this just Vista sucking up my system or is there some actual reason for this?
