Well that's the exact mentality that people have when a girl accuses a guy of rape even half heartedly. People love feeling moral so much that they put logic to the side to pile on anyone accused of rape. I remember there were several people planning on jumping me, because a summer girl they barely knew accused a guy they barely knew of the four letter word. Keep in mind, no bruises, we were hanging out in a heavily populated cape cod neighborhood where anyone could hear a scream, but no one asks those questions.

Fortunately she was a shity liar and didn't want to ruin her vacation to spite me. So it blew aside and she never showed her face on our beach again.

Well the same thing happened to this guy on somethingawful, only the girl keeps the story up, gets him locked up in jail for several months. Unlike me he's poor and couldn't afford a real lawyer, even after she posts on myspace that she 'ruined his life' he still can't get the documentation through to the proper channels. Public defenders are as bad as their reputation.

Is the story a stretch? No clue, but it was scarey close to what I went through for 2 days. Read, regardless of shens or anything this sht happens all the time. Must be nice to be able to accuse anyone of rape without retribution. If anything the thread is pretty funny in an ironic kind of way.

 
WTF is with all the something awful cross-posting lately? Why do I even come here anymore. All the interesting content is just ripped from SA anyway.

Wasn't a few people put behind bars for myspace evidence? I forget the cases, remember seeying it around here though.

Public defenders aren't all bad. I work for the Federal Defender's Office and they actually *try* to help their clients. It's the material with which they have to work with that is often lacking.
 
I was accused of raping a girl nearly 10 years ago...she dropped the charges after I threatened to do it for real...I figured if she was going to accuse me of it then I might as well do the crime.

that same girl, Later accused a Teacher at the high school that we went o of the same thing...he went a hung himself after being fired from his job the same day she accused him...she then later confesed that she made it up because he gave her a C on a history assignment instead of the A that she wanted.

that dumb bitch hasn't been heard from in nearly ten years...good ridance I say.

The little boy who cried wolf....

It's like hot coffee several years ago.....or still today I guess. (Ouch, by no fault of yours I hurt myself on your store's property! I'm suing!) If liars know how the system works - in this case, by essentially laying down a jail sentence in an instant - they will exploit it.
 
This thread reminds me of something I've been reading in the news about recently...those poor kids at Duke...

This stripper has done this before.

It's true that a woman can just say that it happened and it's treated as though it were fact. I can't see how you could lock a guy up without any physical evidence though...
 
They were talking about the new child molester law on the Boortz show yesterday morning that would keep those convicted of sexual abuse with minors away from all bus stops in Georgia. Which basically means all those convicted of sexual abuse would have to move to the middle of no where in order to live in Georgia

Anyways, this one guy calls and tells his story about how when he was 30 he went to a night club and met a girl there. He bought her drinks and she bought him drinks. They hit it off and proceeded to have a sex filled weekend. He never heard from the girl again until 9 months later (guess she got pregnant but he didn't say). Turns out she was 16 at the time and had gotten into the club with a fake ID. He plea bargained down to 6 years in jail (could have been 45 if he hadn't) and is now a convicted sex offender...because of a 16 year old with a fake ID had consensual sex with him.

If true, that is just f'd up.

yeah the duke case pisses me off. not just because of the girl calling rape when (by the looks of it anyway) nothing happened. but because the damn DA nifong just used it to get re-elected.

now that he is in office he does not give a ******. he pushes it back as far as he can and now isn ot talking about it. before you couldnt get him to shut up.
