Ladykillers is a wierd movie!

Saw it over the weekend and enjoyed it. Nevertheless, I am once again wondering what drugs the Coen Brothers are on...

exactly what I was thinking. Hanks was a bit over the top with that accent....kinda got on my nerves. But I loved the General.

Tom Hanks was awesome! The rest of the movie was pretty boring, though. I liked the gospel alot, though.

Hated the movie. Big Cohen brothers fan, too. I kept watching the movie thinking this is all a big setup for a great second half. Second half never came. So much wasted talent.

I did like the ending, but the 1.5 hours to get there is excrutiating, non-funny, and not something I want to see again.

It was a pretty good movie but it almost felt like two different movies in one. On one hand you have an interesting caper movie with an odd twist. On the other hand, they added elements that made it seem like it was trying to be a hip teen comedy. The characters were great, Tom Hanks did a pretty good job but there were a few times were he seemed to trip up on his dialog.

You have to admit, although it's certainly not Hanks best film, the movie was all around original.

I caught it a few days ago - strange movie... Good, though. My dad saw a commercial the other day for the DVD and all he's done since then is walk around talking about "hippity hop language."

I can agree with that quote The scene that they show in the commercial was where the old woman keeps slapping Marlon Wayans character. Good stuff. I don't know why people getting slapped in the face is so funny, but it is.

Saw it last night. Kept me guessing, but it was SO DAMN BORING I wanted to stab myself in the eye with a fork. The General was pretty cool, but it really sucked and I wish I'd watched something else instead. $5 at Blockbuster, wasted.
