Don't give any spoilers but I am one hour into the movie and it just plain sucks.

For those who have seen it, is the ending worth it?

King Arthur: I am your king.
Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.
King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.
Woman: Well how'd you become king then?
[Angelic music plays... ]
King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.
Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
Dennis: Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

There are two M. Night Shyamalan movies that I liked. The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. I saw Lady in the Water...it had twists and turns but not a movie that I would watch again.

I wouldn't bother watching the rest. It was one of the worst movies I've seen in the last year.

He's definitely gone downhill since then, although I enjoyed Signs quite a bit. The Village was OK until the mystery was revealed and it turned into an episode of Scooby-Doo. I fvcking hate it when the monster turns out to be just some guy in a costume.

The end sucks just as bad as the rest of the movie. You might as well just finish it. :p

I thought Nacho Libre was worse. But then Erragon topped them all.

Well I decided to finish the movie and sho' nuff everyone was right.

That movie gave me a headache. No point. No twists. Bad acting.

I was half expecting it all to be a dream. Why did he cast himself in the movie? I wanted to reach through the screen and smack him.

Uhm...there were no twists AT ALL. Very straightforward and not a very good movie IMHO.

I watched it couple of days ago and I liked it a lot. I watched lots of M. Night Shyamalan movies, I didn't like 6th sense, but I did like Unbreakable because of the style. Village and Signs plain sucked. However "Lady in the Water" is definitely the best movie M. Night Shyamalan made to date. I definitely will be adding it to my DVD collection.

There are two types of people, those who have imagination and those who don't. It would seem ATOT is mostly the latter. If you like in your face action flicks, sci-fi, gun powder and such this is not a movie for you. However if you enjoyed Willy Wonka, Edward Scissorhands, Amelie and Big Fish this movie is a must see. Those who appreciate sudden plot twists, subtle irony and humor will definitely enjoy it. And personally, I was almost biting my fingernails at the end.
