I know she likes this style. She wants a purse like this but I have NO IDEA what color would she like. I know her style. She is into somewhat BR and AE as well as a bit of PUMA.

I need your advice. I like Khaki since it goes with everything but it seems everybody has that color. Pink according to the people I asked seems nice but she is 20 not 15. Some say black was nice.

I need ADVICE QUICK!!!

Take her shopping and let her choose what she wants.

When in doubt, bring her. I would say khaki, it works in winter & summer .. black not so much. If you can ask Mom, sister or close friend I'd do that also.

You underestimate pink. Most girls like pink, no matter what age, well atleast until the mid 20's. Atleast thats my experiance. Either pink or black.

khaki seems still popular eh?

its a very safe color. it will go with mostly everything.

*sigh* l LOVE the new Coach purses in their spring collection

Personally, I'd get her something with a little more distinction to it, unless she doesn't have a good set of base purses (i.e., ones that go with everything). They had a line for fall last year that was doing really well, and amazingly enough the patent leather pink one was sold out until they had a return...which I bought for my friend who was moving to NYC.

So if she doesn't have her usual red/black/khaki bags, get her a base color she could use...in which case you have to think about what her nicer clothes are, as she should only use a Coach bag with a halfway decent outfit...I hate girls that sport their new Louis' with scrub clothes...but that's the elitist picky fashion bitch in me speaking. 😉

So in short...khaki for safesafesafe, pink/baby blue for something cuter that might not match as much, another bag entirely for something with character.

Khaki is the safest color. Black looks fake. Blue is casual, mint is unique, and pink is overrated (but cute! 🙂)

i got my girlfriend a pink one. not that particular style, but it is similar. pink looks better than black in real life...a lot better. ive been to the store several times. pink is a much more "fun" and "nice" color. it goes well and looks nice.

What are you worried about? Buy it locally, and she can swap it for whatever she wants!

I did that a few years ago for my wife. Bought her a simple Coach purse the day before Christmas. Didn't give any thought to style, color, size or anything. She did swap it after Christmas. No big deal.

These Coach things cost an arm and a leg! It's pretty disturbing... my wife watched all of the Sex in the City DVDs and now she is even MORE obsessed with shoes, bags, etc etc ... I just don't get how someone can be so obsessed with material stuff.

*tabs over to newegg* 😉

Well the good thing about the show is that they don't mention brands too much outside of the normal mainstream couture names...but previously barely anybody without money knew about manolo blahniks, and if you hear those two words now...run screaming.

The black is definitely out. More versatile, yes, but you can't see the detail. The khaki is safe, but the pink is more trendy.

I'd take into account what colours your GF primarily wears. My GF wears a lot of neutral tones so the khaki would be best for her, but I have another GF who wears a bright red city coat and for her I would suggest khaki.

I don't think you can lose with either khaki or pink.
