Lacy Peterson case question..

If Lacy were only a few weeks pregnant at the time of her death..would the murderer still be charged with double murder? Or is it only because she was in her third trimester that the case is as it is?

No. I believe the reasoning for the double murder charge is due to the child having the possibility to survive since it was so close to the due date.

if thats the reasoning (and I think thats good reason) then anything before 22 weeks isn't a double murder, anything after 22 weeks is...however, I think we should use the same terms as we allow abortion, anything past the 1st trimester is murder. this serves two purposes, 1, it complys with current guidelines, and 2, it sets a firm president on life.
