Lactose is out...what is left to eat?

Well recetnly came down with a stomach condition that has rendered me unable to tolerate lactose (milk, cheese, butter, etc). Well this sux since I have gone my entire 23 years on this planet enjoying milk, from a healthy bowl of cereal in the morning to a big glass of chocolate milk at night. I've tried the soy based products but its just not the same 🙁
Anyone out there with this condition that can sympathize and give me some hints as to wtf I can eat now?

umm...i somewhat in the same boat, and those lactose pill dont seem to work that much either. I just deal with it. Lactose foods just give me a lil more gas than I'd like, sometimes they don't give me any additional gas. I don't get all allergic or anything, so thats good for me.

Soy, and look for vegan food at your local grocery. Vegan food has no dairy in it and there are many delicious items that they make(burritos, cheeseless pizzas etc).
