Lack of Water in War3

They were afraid you'd pee in it?
Seriously, wonder why the hell they did that. It'll look wierd without water. 🙁

massive cpu hit for really nice looking water?.. or maybe they are having enough trouble balancing the units they already have😛 starcraft had no water crafts😛

face it, not much sea fighting back in the day when they used swords and maces. not too mention all the orcish hordes they had running around.

boat battles where faught by having one boat get close to another, then having regular sword battles with those on the boats. or possibly someone throwing a flaming stick on another boat. it wasn't important, and it wouldn't be much fun.

the real question is,.... are we gonna have those hot air ballons that the orcs used??

<< starcraft would have been cool with water units too though >>

ya, lots of water in space.

sea units aren't that important now, i can imagine how important they'll be in the future.

all of the air units represent what sea units would be. no need fo a battleship when u gotta BC.

yup the only kinda air missing from war3 are carriers.. not much point to water😛 heavy/light air is covered

wait, there is not any water? thats kinda strange. Sea combat was one of the best parts of War2

I must admit those water battles in Warcraft II were fun, but they were relatively pointless unless both of you went water on purpose. Otherwise, you just gather up a large land army and kill their buildings and then the end.

For those that played war2 on Kali, your skill on water was a big factor in determining how good of a player you really were b/c it didn't take much to lust every ogre on land...

Starcraft didn't need water because the massive air and space feel was enough.

In war3, there is a lack of air usage and air units are weak in general, so water is needed it here.

Why they didn't put it in is interesting....maybe someone can ask over at the beta forums?
