Lack of creativity at its best

I realize flags tend to have a common theme; stripes, solid colors and symbols. But how can a nation take pride in a flag people can easily confuse or misidentify?

Monaco
Indonesia
Poland

Those flags probably have a different meaning to each of the respective countries and their population. I do agree that it can be confusing but it makes it easy for the flag makers atleast
