Hello-
Like everyone else out there, I'm sure you've noticed the lack of 8500 reviews. Now there are several theories on this but this is what I think:
1. ATI is coming out with new drivers on Monday--Reviewers want to wait till then to review it.
2. The NDA is over, so it obviously isn't that. You could go buy a card and review it, and no NDA could stop you.
3. Nvidia is going to come out with something new on monday and is strong arming review sites to wait to steal ATI's thunder (it's happened at every other ati release date)
What I don't understand is:
1. The removal of benchmarks from 3dorion's website. Some company is forcing them or paying them to remove them for some reason.
2. Isn't it a coincidence that the dell sale ends a day before all the reviews come out? Imagine if they came out today and were favorable--can you imagine the rush?
I'm not sure what to believe right now--I think that #1 is the most believable explanation, but that doesn't explain the removal of benchmarks from 3dorion (especially since they're really good). Now if they were bad, I could understand. Is nvidia paying madorion to delete the scores? 3dorion was having financial trouble a while ago if I remember correctly.
Just my kennedy theories. :>
