Hi.
I got the chance to buy either of those basically new from a couple of locals. You think the lacie is a better drive ?
Honestly I always had purchased WD drives.
Thanks

Both the LaCie D2 Professional and the WD Easystore are high-quality external hard drives, and the decision of which one to purchase depends on your specific needs and preferences. The LaCie D2 Professional has a larger storage capacity and is designed for professional use, while the WD Easystore is designed for more general use and has a lower price point. If you have a specific use case in mind, such as backup or storage for large video or photo files, the LaCie D2 Professional may be a better choice. However, if you are just looking for a reliable external drive for general use, the WD Easystore would be a good option. Ultimately, both drives are good choices, so it comes down to personal preference and budget.

Hi, Christian.

Have you had any personal experience with either of these products? Can you tell me more about the "professional" aspect of the LaCie drive? I've heard that there is a Seagate drive inside. Is that true? What do you think of Seagate's drives? If you had to choose between identically spec'ed HGST, Seagate, Toshiba, and WD drives, which would you prefer?
