Labor day weekend cookout plans

Plans for labor day weekend? Taking friday off to get a 4 day weekend?

My wife and I bought our brisket last night, probably going to pick up the baby back ribs and boudain tonight.

The brisket and ribs will be put on the grill saturday morning, have the ribs for lunch and the brisket for dinner.

Leaving work in 30 minutes, driving to Blacksburg with my parents. Partying tonight and tomorrow night in Blacksburg, tailgating and football game Saturday. Going to some lake nearby with our friends afterwards, relaxing on the boat Sunday. Stuck in the car again on Monday.

Depends, still without power here in CT 😀 I'd use my charcoal grill, but the last blizzard ate it for breakfast. Maybe Home Depot is open...

Heading up to the high country to go camping way back in the woods. Will take the campfire grill and do up some brats and also some teriyaki chicken. Sausage egg scramble for breakfast in the cast iron at some point. Probably won't take the dutch oven this time.

friday nothing
saturday - yard game party - beer + burgers/ dogs and such aso beer
sunday - recovery
monday - IDK havent gotten that far yet

Working so I can take off later this month when prices are cheaper. Rentals will be at off season rate so I'll save 50% and I won't have to fight the crowd. Win-win.

Where I'm going there will be no crowd, probably won't see many people and I don't have to pay a cent. Win-win-win.

None.

No money. And no inclination to share the road with assholes who cant pay attention while driving.
Stay home, watch Amazon video, fap, life is good.
Maybe finish KOTOR 2.

Are these current pictures, or ones from previous cooks? I imagine you want to keep up your rate of posting pictures of your smoker it at least 27.5% of threads you post in.

Those are pics from previous cookouts. But do not worry, I will be taking lots of pics this coming weekend.

Lets see, I started a thread about cooking, and you did not expect me to post pics of my pit?

I think my pit is a little small, and I have been seriously considering building a bigger one. The plans are to have 2 pits, side by side with a single firebox. The 2 pits would give me a cooking surface around 13 feet long, and around 60 inches wide.

Or should I just put 2 pits end to end and make one long pit. But this one does the job for now.

Don't know or care, but I'm pretty sure I've seen that picture about 25 different times.

No, I can just google baby back ribs if I was interested. Your membership on this website doesn't raise my interest levels on a picture of food. Pretty sure there are plenty on Google.

If your not interested,,,, then why are you in this thread.

I am planning on having a nice cookout, with all kinds of food, like in this pic. We are supposed to get rain this weekend, so I will probably put a canopy over the pit.

2 slabs of pork spare ribs and a brisket were put on to marinate tonight. For the marinate my wife and I used some cajun spices, A1 steak sauce, brown sugar,,,, and a few other things.

Tomorrow morning the pit will be fired up and the ribs and the brisket will be put on.
