I have a set of Callaway Hawkeye VFT irons, and the label behind the club face is coming off on some of my clubs. I tried using super glue to keep it from getting worse, but it only holds for a couple rounds. Does anyone know of an adhesive I can use that will have it stick better? ...and has anyone else had this problem with Callaways ... or with any other club?

club makers are usually pretty happy to accomodate problems like this. talk to the shop where you bought the clubs and see if you can get a response for from callaway.

Definitely talk to Callaway, in my experience they will go far out of their way to accommodate owners of their products.

Callaway has good support. You can either send it back to them to fix it or bring it to a local shop and pay 5 bucks or something for them to use epoxy and put it back. Either way, it's not hard.

Definitely get it fixed as that issue could definitely affect resale value down the road - you don't want them falling off when you're golfing.

SWEET clubs, by the way - I think Hawkeye VFT's might be my next set. I have Big Bertha irons right now and love them.

I'll take em back to golfsmith and see what they say. Either way hopefully the Callaway warranty would cover something like this.

<edit>Also, how is epoxy any different from super glue?</edit>

Goto like Autozone and get a glue that is used for decals..

It's a rubbery glue that will hole anything and it's waterproof..

It's by 3M..

Don't contact Callaway for something this silly. They'll stand behind their product and fix it for you (hell, for the way they jack up prices on their clubs they can afford to give you a couple of new sets and still come out ahead) but it's not going to be worth it. You'll need to pay to ship the clubs to them where they're just going to epoxy things back in place. You'll also be without the clubs for at least 2 weeks. Buy epoxy and fix it yourself, you'll save both time and money.

Thanks, went to Home Depot and got the Metal epoxy ... will try it out the next time a label wants to lift off a little. And yes, I contact Callaway and that is basically what they told me to do ... mail back the clubs and they will reapply their "medallions" using their "special process" :) I'm guessing rip off medallions and using epoxy like you said.

Thanks for the help guys!
