Yes I read this in wired a long time ago too. Itll be great when they figure out how to use em in electronics.

a diamond heatsink would be interesting😉
"
"Diamond is not only very strong, but it is also a great thermal conductor," Jackson says, "so it can be used to help pull the heat away from the chip. This, in turn, can help reduce the amount of heatsink material currently used in computer chips, which will result in smaller overall devices." "

for a "fake" diamond, they're pretty damned expensive. i'd rather spend a little more and get the real thing.

they are the real thing. 100% similar only they came to be in a different way

Just don't tell your girl they came from a lab

My girl just told me the other day that she doesn't want a natural diamond after she became aware of the whole DeBeers diamond slavers thing.

I think many more will feel this way after Blood Diamond hits the theaters.

I think you overestimate the number of people who care. I know I don't.

We're not talking about baby seals here, we're talking about purchasing an item that essentially was produced by an industry that does it through the oppression, torture, and killing of its workers.

And, you don't care. Aren't you a piece.

De Beers is already on the attack before the movie comes out.

but how is this process different from what we could do before? scientists have already created real diamonds in labs by simulating the conditions inside the earth. (tiny ones OK but how is the process different)
