That is more when you consider that male actors may do gay porn even if they are not gay. Apparently it pays a whole lot more. Which makes sense, not many straight guys would really be ok with a scene like that.

Also the percentage of homosexuality is low I think so not many guys like it in the first place. Assuming homosexuality is genetic. Low supply of actors willing to do it = high pay for those that do.

There is a window when it is undetectable, and you can get it from other methods. (IV drug use for example, these people aren't all pillars of society.)

That and one of these cases a while back came from some guy that shot a movie down in Brazil, so forcing condoms here has no effect on him. <--I just read that and it makes no sense, of course a condom here would have helped. I'm a moron right now, sorry.

Don't have the statistics handy but I wouldn't be surprised if HIV rate was lower among the porn industry than the general population, they really seem to stay on top of testing.

I saw a documentary about this and they mentioned the gay crossover aspect, but most of their examples were not from gays. I think the biggest problem they mentioned was actors/actresses doing movies in Brazil or something. I believe one of the actresses who caused an outbreak highlighted in this documentary had done a double anal scene in Brazil for a movie called "Split Dat Booty".

No. That would only work if you could somehow quarantine actors for 6 months or whatever the time period is that is needed to determine if one has HIV, and then have them do movies while under quarantine.

Right now they test every 30 days, but one actor can get infected in between that time and do scenes/movies with several other actors/actresses before the next batch of testing . I remember a few years ago this exact thing happened and several actors and actresses were found to be infected. I believe they stopped all filming during that time as well.

and i forgot ..the numbers are worse, lesbians make up half of that 1.5% gay population and their aids rate is bupkis, so the male aids rate is even worse. not even 1% and still more than 50% of all aids cases, nutty numbers.
