With regard to Rockstar I have to say i've had no issues with Max Payne 3.

However, as said above, LA noire won't start.

I'll try some of the guys suggestions above though later. I bought the actual disc from amazon and kept as I hoped they'd release a fix but to no avail.

and the PC gaming crowd likes to bash consoles :awe: but hey, the game plays perfectly on my PS3:D
oh look, all my ps3 games do..hehe, imagine that.

Well, you can walk into any dive bar, but you have to wait outside the really popular ones until they let you in ;).

I used to game on PS3 for a long time and enjoyed it and the games. Uncharted series, Infamous and I played arkham asylum on there.

However, even with console ports, maxing them out at 1080P looks the bomb and hence why the PS3 doesn't get used anymore.

Launch game no effect. Installed no spaces etc. Right clicking patcher and pressing run as admin, and the patcher won't even start.....

I think in the past I even tried downloading the patcher separate. It hasn't prompted me to patch or install social club so I assume this usually happens when the games opened.

I remembered what it was I found annoying about this game. Basically you drive/walk between scripted events in the crime you're trying to solve. On the first two I did each scene had a goal, say, figure out if she's lying, or intimidate the witness. You have questions to choose from, and one series of questions leads to success, i.e. she's lying or he's intimidated. The others lead to failure and you get dumped back to the beginning of the scene. If I recall correctly you couldn't save in the middle of a scene, and it got irritating for me pretty quickly.

and very true..yet alot of good that 1080p does ya when it wont run. I have a couple of Steam games that just flat out will never run, never have and likely never will. Deus ex 3 being one of them. crashes every time despite a completely new hardware upgrade, latest drivers and even tried windows 8...crash, ever since day 1 of release.:\

It's a cool adventure game, although it gets pretty repetitive after a while.

This.
And the horrible ending to the Black Dahlia case. Couldn't keep playing after that, but now that i'm reminded of it, i feel like giving it a second chance.

Great game. Played very smoothly on my i7 2600K/6970. My rig seemed to handle it fine without any real issues I don't think. It has a very memorable atmosphere that I really appreciated and enjoyed. One day I will get around to finishing the game. Definitely one of my better games.

The vast majority of the time, no you don't even get dumped back anywhere. You could totally screw up most interviews without much noticeable consequence.

I liked the game at first but as time wore on I liked it less and less. There's no room for your own thought process of what the clues mean, so it's a game about trying to deduce what the devs wanted you to do in lieu of some sloppy writing.

I've been an IT professional for 15 years and PC gaming for over 25 years now....believe me I've exhausted my research on the Internet and still couldn't get this turd to work. And I really wanted to get it to work. And if you did a quick search, i'm not the only one who had trouble with this game. Read the Amazon reviews alone. Yeah so not quite PEBKAC here but since you got it to work, obviously there is no issues whatsoever in the world.

I hate when people do that Shurato. If you have an issue and they didn't then obviously the problem is you. It doesn't matter that the internet is flooded with people saying they cannot even get the game to launch, because their sample size of one tells them everything they need to know.

Well I decided to get the steam version and everything seems to be working great. Really enjoying the atmosphere and the DX11 lighting is simply gorgeous.
Think i'm going to go ahead and get the downloadable content.
I don't know if there are other games like this out there but I'm truly enjoying the experience. That's saying a lot coming from an old pc gamer.

You are contradicting yourself. If multiple people have a problem getting it to work, then the sample size is not one. Your arguments really dont make any logical sense to me.
