Today my co-worker and I stopped at one of the local Mexican food resturants for lunch. Without a doubt this is one of our favorite places to eat when we are downtown. The food and service is usually muy excelente. About 10 min after the waitress took the order the food arrives. We took a few bites then the waitress and manager each walked by to ask if everything was ok, which at the time it was. A few moments later I heard a "ugh...." and my buddy pulled a 2" cockroach from his chile relleno. Needless to say I lost my appetite and I was just getting started. The waitress came over so I asked her to look on his plate. Her eyes got really big and she took the plate to the manager who was 20ft. away, then they both stormed into to the kitchen. It took several minutes for the waitress to even come back to our table. After she returned she started to ask if my buddy wanted anything else but I interrupted her, then politely said we both weren't hungry anymore and we were going to leave. She proceeds to says that they just sprayed for roaches, and that every resturant in Americal has issues with roaches. Personally I think she was still in shock and just making excuses which was very annoying. While there is truth to her statement the biggest problem is what you don't see usually doesn't bother you. This whole time the manager never once came to our table for a followup. I just wish this could have happened at one of the not-so-good places in town.
What would you do?
