Here're my system specs:
2.53 Ghz Pentium 4 w/ 533 fsb
Asus P4PE w/ gigabit lan and IEEE 1394 w/ 1002 BIOS
1 x 512 MB Corsair CL2 PC3200 @ 2700
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/ Catalyst 3.0 drivers
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum
48x16x48 Benq CDRW
16x Liteon LTD-166S Dvd-Rom Drive
2 x Western Digital 75 gig 7200 RPM Drives with 2mb buffer
Pretty good system setup, right? Well, here's the thing: my benchmarking and real-life applications dont work as well as they should. I only get 14,000 marks on 3dMark2001 SE, 5980 CPU marks, 6300 Memory marks, and 980 HDD marks in PCMark2002, and for those who say that only real-life performance matters, I only get 240 fps in Quake 3, but the real kicker is that i'm averaging 30 fps in Counter-strike on 1024x768. Also, the comp's overall performance is noticeably laggy. Anyone have any sort of a clue as to why my comp is messed up and what to do about it?
