this is my first computer. iv been learning stuff for a long time getting ready =/ i was scared at first since i would be dealing with expensive parts, but i figure i have to learn sometime.
would this stuff run together good.compatibilty

T-Bird 900
256mb of Johns mosel vitelic pc133 cas2 rev2
MSI K7T Pro2/A
30 gig IBM Deskstar 75GXP
Voodoo3 3000 AGP which i already have (just till tribes 2 !)
Antec-12281 300watt
im not too sure on CDROM or DVD. i dont plan on watching movies. i can see those on TV. and i just play games hardcore so i was thinking i only need a CDROM. is 52x good enough? because dont you bascially only use it when installing stuff or listening to music in games (which i dont do)

Looks OK to me. No sound card?

52x should be plenty in terms of speed.

A SBLive Value is real value. Pretty good for $43 USD. How bout a monitor? Don't get anything lesser than a 17inch. Speakers?

Heatsink? Consider FOP38 or an Alpha Pal. Or are you buying a retail TBird?

Finally, don't forget to test your Chip and system using RC5. :)
